MESSAGE FROM CEDAR HOUSE INN

Here at Cedar House Inn, we have always gone the extra mile to make sure that our guests have the most uniquely enjoyable experience during their stay in Saint Augustine. Due to the recent Covid-19 pandemic, our added mission is to make sure that our guests feel safe during their stay. In these ever-changing times, we are continuously monitoring local and national guidelines for implementation in our inn.

The following efforts have been put into place and are subject to change based on the current circumstances:

Staff

  • All staff have been briefed on Covid-19 safety procedures and are wearing masks, maintaining their distances from guests, and frequently washing their hands.

Guest Rooms and Housekeeping

  • Our housekeeping staff are trained to thoroughly clean and use disinfectant in all guest rooms while also wearing gloves and masks to ensure that surfaces are protected from minimal human contact.
  • We are sanitizing all surface areas, decorative pillows, and decorative throws. If you would prefer, you can request that decorative pillows and throws be removed from your room as well as requesting that housekeeping not enter your room during your stay.

Public Spaces

  • All housekeeping and innkeepers make daily rounds with disinfectant used for wiping down and spraying high traffic areas, such as; door knobs, door bells, keys, indoor and outdoor tables and chairs, throw pillows, and public toilets.
  • Guests are also encouraged to use the hand sanitizer stations setup throughout the inn’s public areas and masks are being provided free of charge to all guests during their stay.

Check-in

  • All innkeepers will be wearing masks and will remain at a safe distance from the guests.
  • We are also offering guests to do a person less check-in where guests may call to confirm their arrival time, and we will leave their room unlocked with the key inside and information about their stay.

Check-out

  • Guests may leave their key at the front desk and no further action is required. However, you may call the innkeeper to let her know that you are leaving and then simply leave the key in your room on the nightstand.

Food and Beverage

  • Our breakfast is made fresh every morning with staff wearing face masks and latex gloves.
  • We are safely distancing our dining room tables and separate rooms are no longer allowed to share one table. Additionally, we are also offering breakfast to-go if you would prefer to eat outside or in your room.
  • Complimentary beverages are still being provided with daily sanitations of the refrigerator, however, our ice machine service is suspended and a member of staff will bring guests ice upon request.

Cookies

  • No stay at Cedar House Inn would be complete without our famous cookies! We have removed the communal cookie stand and all cookies are being served on separate plates for each room.

Cancellation Policy

It is important to us that you are able to make informed travel decisions, and that you have peace of mind anytime you choose to visit Cedar House Inn. Please review our cancellation policy.

  • If you cancel at least 7 days prior to your arrival date, there is a $50 cancellation fee which can be applied to your next reservation if booked within one year.
  • If you cancel less than 7 days prior to your arrival date (14 days for holidays and special event dates), you will be charged for your entire stay however we will provide you with a Gift Certificate for an amount equal to the first night’s lodging to be used for reservations made within one year.

Also note that,

  • If our Bed and Breakfast needs to be closed due to City, County, State or Federal instructions due to the current situation from a Covid-19 outbreak, then we will waive all cancellation fees for the reservations which are falling during the closure period.
  • If a guest is physically unable to travel to our Bed and Breakfast due to any mandatory orders such as a stay at home order, any airport closures or state border travel restrictions from City, County, State or Federal agency then we will allow the guest to change the date of their stay or issue a credit voucher of the amount of their unused reservation which they can use within a year of issuance.
