Meet the Innkeepers for The Cedar House Inn Bed & Breakfast

Jack and Mylene Martin met in Miami during Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and married 6 months later. One of their many dreams as newlyweds was to one day own their own Bed & Breakfast. Jack enjoyed gardening in his spare time and meeting new people, Mylene always felt at home while in the kitchen cooking or entertaining friends and family. Many of their friends agreed they were the perfect couple to own and operate their own inn and encouraged them to go for it.

After 13 years of marriage, their daughter’s recent graduation from the University of Florida and several decades in the corporate world it seemed like the time was right to pursue their dream. They searched for a potential inn from Cape May, New Jersey to Key West, Florida but the one location that always stayed with them was St. Augustine. After a year of searching and waiting, the Cedar House Inn became available in the summer of 2005. With its charming history, beautiful wrap around porches and a great location in the heart of historic St. Augustine, Jack and Mylene had finally found their dream inn. In September, 2005 Jack and Mylene became the proud owners of the Cedar House Inn, a beautiful seven room Victorian Bed & Breakfast.

Jack and Mylene continue to maintain the Victorian ambiance throughout the public rooms while enhancing each bedroom with elegant Floridian charm. The Cedar House Inn is a perfect location for a romantic getaway, honeymoon, intimate wedding or marriage vow renewal.
